Established in honor of Staff Sergeant Scott Sterling, the Sterling Promise Foundation exists to carry on Scott’s legacy of selfless service. After a valiant fight with colorectal cancer, Scott’s story became the genesis for our mission to improve health and wellness for veterans. His bravery, strength and commitment to his fellow soldiers, continues to inspire everything we do.

His bravery, strength and commitment to his fellow soldiers, continues to inspire everything we do.
SCOTT’S STORY
Scott proudly served in the U.S. Army 75th Ranger Regimental Reconnaissance Detachment and 1st Special Forces Operational Detachment–Delta. He completed Airborne School and the Ranger Indoctrination Program, assigned to 1st Ranger Battalion. Soon after his arrival, Scott completed Ranger School and earned the coveted Ranger Tab, becoming a Team Leader. Scott was later selected as a Reconnaissance Specialist in the 75th Ranger Regimental Reconnaissance Detachment (RRD).

Scott went on to successfully complete Delta Force Selection and attended the year long Operator Training Course (OTC) before being assigned to A Squadron (A-1-A). He excelled in all aspects of his military career, becoming a HALO Jumpmaster and Combat Dive Supervisor (Honor Graduate) serving in a W9 billet (HALO/SCUBA). Scott embodied the values of dedication, resilience and leadership throughout his career.

Specifically, our initiatives currently focus on bridging the gaps in healthcare and financial support for veterans, ensuring early detection of serious medical conditions such as cancer.
